Healthcare Contact Center Agent

The Healthcare Contact Center Agent is responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for patients, policyholders, medical providers, and the healthcare organization. 

Responsibilities

  • Phone Customer Support: Answer and manage inbound and outbound calls from patients, families, and medical staff in a timely and professional manner.
  • Scheduling: Coordinate, reschedule, and cancel medical appointments, procedures, and diagnostic tests, verifying provider availability and patient eligibility.
  • Problem Resolution: Handle complex complaints, inquiries, and requests related to services, coverage, claims, and prior authorizations.

Must Have

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • English B2 - C1 required
  • Minimum 1-2 years of proven experience in a contact center, customer service, or medical/hospital office environment
  • Technical degree or associate's degree in health, administration, or customer service fields preferred.

Nice to have

  • Empathy and Patience: Demonstrate a genuine service attitude, especially when dealing with patients who may be sick, stressed, or confused.
  • Healthcare Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance processes (PPO, HMO), and the workflow in healthcare settings.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with colleagues to optimize processes and ensure continuity of care.
